DIY Mistakes

Most jobs that we carry out are straight forward and simple such as bumper scuffs, scratches, dents and chips, on the occasion we do get to repair more varied types of damage such as in this case of a DIY job gone wrong.

This customer lived in north London and had a scratch on the door edge of his silver car, he decided to repair the scratch himself.  The filling and prep work had been done to a good standard (but that’s the easy part) but the hardest part (painting blending and lacquering) was yet to come. Without all the correct equipment, materials and training it’s virtually impossible to paint and lacquer the repair to a satisfactory finish which he found out. He eventually admitted defeat and called our mobile scratch repair service to come to North London and fix what he had done. Below are photos of the damage and the subsequent repair.
